Help Kevin Hess beat leukemia!
Hello Everyone,
On Friday 4/16/21 our dear friend, brotherand son Kevin went into the ER with severe chest and stomach pain. He was later transferred to OHSU where he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Only 200,000 cases a year are reported and it is considered a very aggressive form of cancer. He currently is in ICU where doctors are working on trying to get fluid away from his heart and lungs. He will be starting his chemo today 4/19/21 and will be on a 7 day a week treatment plan for the next 4-6 weeks. The next few days will be critical to see how the rest of his treatment will go.
Kevin and all of his family and friends are in great spirits, and we are excited for him to get back to his everyday life of playing music and making art. Anyone that knows Kevinknows that he is one of the most positive, happy and joyous people to be around.
Unfortunately Kevin is an independent contractor and does not have health insurance, and expenses are already adding up quick. We are graciously asking for anything that you can donate so that Kevin can focus on healing and not have to worry about the expenses of things back home or how much his treatments are going to cost.
On behalf of the Hess family and friends, we sincerely thank you for any way you can help. We love you Kevin!!
