Help Kevin Watterton Fight Rare Bladder Cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Jaime Rastatter. I am a good friend and co worker of Kevin Watterton. Kevin has asked me to coordinate the financial/fundraising aspect of his cancer journey.
Kevin is married to the love of his life, Amy. Together they have 3 beautiful children, Jackson, Grayson and Emerson (Emmie Kate)
Kevin has been a Paramedic/Firefighter with Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue for 23 years. He has served on the technical rescue team for majority of his career. Kevin is also one of our MSA (SCBA) specialist.
January 2024 Kevin began to have lower back pain coupled with lower quadrant abdominal pain. Kevin has had many appointments, scans, biopsy and an operation that led to his recent diagnosis of stage 4 bladder cancer with METS (spread to other areas of his body). At this time, Kevin and Amy are navigating a treatment plan that is best for Kevin's particular cancer. Kevin's cancer is rare. One in one million people are diagnosed with this particular cancer a year. The best treatment option for Kevin is not local to our area. The cancer center that he has considered is located in Texas and they do not accept his health insurance. The cost for this facility to review Kevin's slides, prior to consultation and treatment is $3000.00. The cost for treatment is undetermined at this time.
Kevin has a team of close friends working together alongside of he and Amy to make sure his days are free or financial worry. Please find it in your heart and deep down in your pockets to fill this GoFundMe and send Kevin to Texas where the most knowledgeable team are doctors are available to treat him.
