My name is Kevin Asbury. I’ve been battling colon cancer stage 4 since 2020. I’ve had surgery to remove the tumor in my colon and lost a third of my liver. I’ve endured many rounds of chemotherapy off and on for the past 5 years.

I have been selected to participate in a clinical trial at the University of Chicago. This will require many weeks of tests and hospitalization for at least a week. They will use chemotherapy to deplete my immune system, so my body doesn’t reject the treatment. I will be immunocompromised for a couple of months or more. This will require me to take a leave of absence from work.

Any money raised will help to offset this loss of pay and support my family through this stressful time.
