Help Kevin Scott Replace Stolen Gear
Donation protected
On the morning of Wednesday, May 5th (2021), New Orleans musician Kevin Scott's car was broken into in front of his home. Due to a storm on Tuesday night, all of Kevin's live gear, minus instruments, was still in his car. This comes on the heels of 14 months of virtually no gigs due to COVID-19. Kevin is one of the hardest working individuals in the music community, and our goal is to raise $7200 to help him replace these items.
Between his time in Atlanta, New York, New Orleans, Kevin has made tremendous contributions to his community through teaching, providing gigs and opportunities to other musicians, and hosting a variety of annual events linking musicians from around the world.
Many of us have spent countless evenings watching Kevin perform with the likes of Jimmy Herring & The 5 of 7, FORQ, Col. Bruce Hampton, John McLaughlin, Wayne Krantz, The Cleaners, Donny McCaslin, and numerous other acts. Let's show Kevin our love and support and help him get back to work ASAP!
