Help Kevin Recover from Severe Accident

On June 2nd, Kevin was riding down Coloma Rd. In Rancho Cordova around 10AM when a goodwill truck made a left into his lane, and Kevin had no time to stop . He was rushed to the ICU where he's still in a medical induced coma. With ruptures to his kidneys, as well as his liver. He has multiple broken bones, and fractures throughout his body. Like all of us, times are hard. Just day to day living is hard. Whether .50c or $50. Anything helps. This is being setup so he can just get back on his feet once he's able to walk again. While he may not be my blood brother, he's a person I grew up with, a person that has a good heart, and has tried to help anyone that needs it. The main reason this gofundme was started is because of course he will not be able to work for a while, and this is to help alleviate some of the stress when he wakes up, and is able to come home. Today is his time to receive help. So, please. Whatever you can do, will help. Please keep him in your prayers .

**June 3, Update**

His nurse just updated me with his current condition. His MRI shows a hemorrhage to his brain, resulting in a small brain bleed which the Doctors believe is manageable, and can be treated. He has seven broken ribs, which one punctured one of his lungs. Broken collarbone, and possibly a broken hip (at this point in the conversation it was hard to understand).

He passed a portion of the movement test when taken off life support, while failed another portion. So, they're gonna try again tomorrow.

*update 8pm Thursday June 6. It looks like his ribs, kidneys, and liver are going to be OK. His brain injury has worsened. It went from minor to major. The doctors are still trying to get him to be able to talk. He was taken off life support last night, and is now breathing on his own. He's still incapacitated. I'll put out another update when I get one

**update June, 7 2024**

They have officially taken him off life support, he's breathing on his own. However, Mercy has updated his brain injury from minor to traumatic. And said he has DAI (diffused axonal injury), basically the pathways in his brain have been ruptured. They have the lung injuries under control.
