Hi my name is Kevin. I’ve been working as a mental health professional for about 15 years. This has included wilderness guiding, residential treatment, and substance abuse treatment. Sometime last summer I started having some mental health issues of my own. It started with debilitating panic attacks and progressed to a severe depression. I had to leave my profession and seek new work because I found it impossible to function. I found work as an electrician due to a close friend helping me out. The shift has been amazing for my brain. While I could not be happier about finding some peace and healing. Leaving a profession that I had worked my way into a well paid roll has left a large burden of debt that I am struggling to dig out of. If you are able to help at all I would appreciate it.
