Help Kevin Overcome Suicide
Donation protected
After two failed suicidal attempts, Kevin Duffy has been fighting a mental battle for the past 20 years but it has intensified the past few months while residing at St. Vincent de Paul’s and now at Bread of life, both homeless shelters one in downtown San Diego and the other one in Oceanside. Kevin is currently suffering from various diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and ADHD/ADD. From his diagnosis, he discovered that he functions solely out of anxiety which destroys his mental and physical health. Kevin NEEDS help to receive the proper treatment and medication to better understand his conditions and overcome them.
Kevin is brilliant individual, educated at Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Unfortunately, due to his conditions, he is currently unemployed and is living in a homeless shelter praying for help.
All funds will cover Kevin’s treatment at a place like D’Amore Healthcare in Huntington Beach, CA, or a a private medical facility specializing in people with mental disabilities where he will be closely monitored for a period of a month and receive proper medication/treatment to ultimately understand his conditions and fully recover. Additionally, the facility will supervise him and pinpoint the triggers for his mental crashes or incidents.
He will have to leave his current facility by February 2019 which leaves him about two month to raise funds for transferring to a place like D’Amore.
Kevin’s warm heart simply wishes is for him to become functional so that he can be a productive and supportive member of society, helping others as he has received help. We ask that if you can, please donate to Kevin’s treatment and fight together in this battle.
