Our dear friend Kevin is enduring a kind of loss that no one should have to. This past Labor Day his sister, Amy, was shot and killed in her home. The man who shot her then took his own life there in the dining room. He was her partner of several years.

This tragedy has understandably shaken him to his core, during a time when he was already traversing difficult terrain. For months Kevin has taken off work to live with his father and be his caretaker through cancer treatment. In addition to all of this, Kevin is right on the cusp of moving across the country to rebuild and start a new chapter of his life.

The expenses of dealing with a death in the family, missing work because of illness in the family, and moving your life to a different part of the country are immense. Moving through complex grief has significantly compounded the difficulty of this moment in time.

We have known Kevin for two decades and we've watched him bloom into an extraordinary man - a deeply compassionate, wise, and curious artist and friend who is dedicated to honesty and integrity and helping others. He has generously and humbly put so much goodness out into the world, and we would like to help usher some of it back to him in his time of need.

We are raising funds to help Kevin as he navigates the costly and emotionally exhausting process of honoring his sister, moving through intense grief, and beginning his new life in Iowa. If you are able to contribute in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.
