Help Kevin Monson Through His Cancer Battle
Donation protected
I am reaching out to ask for help for my brother-in-law, Kevin Monson. Kevin is a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In June of 2024, Kevin was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome - a blood cancer better known as MDS. Since then, he has had to have several bone marrow biopsies, transfusions, infusions, and 4 weeks in the hospital for chemotherapy treatments. On September 20th, he will check back into the hospital for another round of chemotherapy before he has a bone marrow transplant at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle. We are so grateful to have Kevin's youngest sibling, Michael, as a donor - he is a 100% match.
Kevin and his family have and will continue to have to travel many times to Seattle for his appointments, which is a 1 1/2 to 2-hour drive each way for them. Fred Hutch requires he and his wife, Tammi, to live within 30 minutes of the hospital in Seattle after his transplant, so they'll be moving September 21st for 3 to 4 months. Tammi is Kevin's full-time caregiver and is no longer able to work at this time.
We are raising funds to support Kevin and his family during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity, support, and for keeping Kevin and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
