In early September 2022, my dad, Kevin Matthews, was diagnosed with stage 3 prostate cancer. He does not have health insurance. He and my mom, Kim, recently moved states and had not obtained health insurance in Texas yet, thus resulting in a cancer diagnosis without health coverage.

Since his diagnosis, he has been to multiple doctor appointments, had a biopsy, been through various tests, therapy, and more, adding up to a large sum of out-of-pocket costs that have already accumulated. His ongoing treatment will also be very costly, and future tests are still unfolding.

Because my dad is a full-time Christian missionary, my parents live on a frugal budget, so these extra costs have a daily impact on them. I have created this Go Fund Me to help ease them with the burden of their day-to-day costs and monthly bills.
