Kevin Kahler is only 50 years old, but he is currently fighting for his life.

Kevin is a devoted husband, father, and proud grandpa. His family means everything to him, and he has another grandson on the way — a new life he is desperately hoping to be here to meet. Unfortunately, Kevin is in kidney failure and urgently needs a kidney transplant.

The good news is that a donor has been found. The heartbreaking part is that Kevin is currently too weak to undergo the transplant. Right now, his focus is on surviving day by day and building enough strength to receive the life-saving surgery he so desperately needs.

Michelle, Kevin’s wife, has been by his side through every step of this journey, caring for him full-time. Because of Kevin’s severe illness and ongoing medical needs, neither Kevin nor Michelle are currently able to work. Medical bills, daily living expenses, and travel related to his care continue to pile up, creating an overwhelming financial burden on top of an already devastating situation.

This fundraiser is to help relieve some of that burden so Michelle can focus on caring for Kevin, and Kevin can focus on getting stronger. Funds raised will go toward medical expenses, living costs, and any travel or transplant-related needs as they prepare for the surgery that could save Kevin’s life.
