Help Kevin Get Home and Start Over

My friend Kevin Massey is one of the kindest, most hardworking people I know. He came to the United States from India with a dream, to build a better life for his wife, young son, and his family back home. He studied at BYU-Idaho, worked every chance he could, and gave everything he had to make that dream real.

Kevin even gave up his own sponsorship so his wife and son could join him here. But shortly after they arrived, his wife divorced him, leaving him completely alone in a country that was supposed to be his new beginning.

Because of the divorce, Kevin’s visa—one that should have been valid for another year—was rejected. Due to this and changes in the law he is being forced to go home. He’s been told he has to leave the country by this Thursday, or immigration officials will come and forcibly remove him. And it’s not guaranteed he’ll even be sent back to India. He’s heard stories of people being sent to the wrong countries, with no help, no resources, and no way to get home. It’s terrifying.

To make it even worse, Kevin has to leave behind his 6-year-old son. He doesn’t know when he’ll see him again. He’s scared, heartbroken, and completely on his own.

He doesn’t have the money for a flight, and he has nothing to help him start over once he’s back in India. That’s why I’m asking for help—anything you can give will help cover the cost of getting him home safely and giving him something to rebuild his life with.
