Help Kevin Doory Keep Swimming :)

A group of Kevin's friends wanted to come together to help raise funds to assist with the medical costs that are not being covered by his insurance. One person in particular reached out to me to ask if I could get the ball rolling to create this fundraiser to help him out in this tough time that he is going through. I hope that you all can join us in supporting Kevin!

(PLEASE NOTE: I am in Canada and Go Fund Me does not allow me to set this fundraiser up in US funds so the goal I have set is in Canadian funds and is higher than $12,000 to accommodate for the exchange rate. ALL DONATION AMOUNTS ARE IN CANADIAN FUNDS.)

Due to recent health issues, Kevin has had to spend some time in the hospital and take four ambulance rides which his insurance unfortunately doesn’t cover! Fortunately, he has pretty good health insurance through his employer, but with the total bill coming in at nearly $200K, and his insurance denying some of the charges, he’s facing a pretty substantial bill that is a minimum of $12,000 USD and potentially more! This is clearly not the amount of money that many people have lying around for a rainy day or even unforeseen medical emergency. The funds being raised here are to help Kevin to pay this bill. 
While I know that our industry has been hard at work raising money for so many incredible causes and many people are feeling tight on funds, I am hopeful that we can once again come together to support one of our most beloved community members :)
