Help Kevin Breth!
Donation protected
Early November of 2019, dad, Kevin Breth, had heart failure and spent over a week in the hospital. While he returned home, he could not work for a couple months due to heart recovery. During a routine heart shock to put dads heart back in rhythm, in mid-Jan 2020, there were complications and 3 days later he was air-lifted to the cities in critical condition because he couldn't breathe well. Since then, dad has been through several small surgeries, intubated a couple of times on the ventilator, and then a trach put in. Dad got an infection which ended up traveling from his throat to his lungs and around them. He was in the ICU for a couple of weeks, and now he is going to a rehabilitation facility to help him get stronger so he can live on his own again since his infection is finally gone. Dad still has the trach in with a feeding tube, as this helps his throat heal faster. We have been told that it could be months before he is fully recovered to go back home. We are not sure if this means 3 or 6 or 9 months, that depends on his body and how it heals. My brother Kyle & I are working on getting everything financial for dad taken care of, which is now why we have turned to gofundme. Dad has been in the hospital for a month straight now and as everyone knows, that is not cheap. While we know some will be covered through insurance, not all medical expenses will be taken care of and we will have to deal with them as then come in the mail. Also, other financial needs have to be dealt with every month such as mortgage, utilities, all the insurance payments.... ect. You get it, living expenses are still needed as dad recovers at the rehabilitation facility and then when he gets back home. We have no idea if dad will be able to work again, or even if he is able, how much he will be able to work. We know dad is going to recover, but we have no idea what the end of the road looks like when he comes home or how long it will take. This is why we are asking for donations, help in any way possible to pay for dads bills while he is recovering and then just coming home. As his children, we don't want him to worry about fiances and have stress about payments or not being able to pay because he is not working. We want dad to focus on recovering physically 100% before worrying about money. Any amount will help ease the burden. And always, pray. Keep on praying, never stop praying. God has heard you, dad is getting stronger and on the path to coming home, but it will just take time. Thank you everyone.
