Hi everyone,
We are Marwa and Casey, and we’re the proud pet parents of Kevin, our sweet 3-year-old pug who is struggling every single day just to breathe.
Kevin has a condition called BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) and it’s reached the point where it’s no longer manageable without surgery. What began as light snoring has now become full-on daily distress. Kevin can’t go for even a short walk (not even 0.5 miles) without collapsing to the ground, panicking because he can’t catch his breath. We’ve had terrifying moments where we truly thought he might die.
He struggles at home too — not just when he’s active. Sometimes when he’s just lying down, he’ll suddenly jolt up, frantic because he can’t get enough air. Watching him fight to breathe, day in and day out, breaks our hearts.
We took him to Hunt Valley animal hospital, and they confirmed Kevin urgently needs BOAS surgery in 60 days, which will open up his airways and dramatically improve his quality of life. The estimate for his procedure, including anesthesia, monitoring, and aftercare, is around $4,500.
We’re doing everything we can to contribute, but this is a big amount, and we simply can’t do it alone. That’s why we’re here, asking for help from anyone who loves animals and believes they deserve to live comfortably and without pain.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, we are deeply grateful. And if you’re not in a place to give, sharing this fundraiser helps more than you know.
Thank you for reading our story, thank you for caring about Kevin, and thank you for helping us give him the chance to breathe freely and live the full, happy life he deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Marwa, Casey & Kevin
