We are coming together to support Kevin T. Bennett, a beloved friend, family member, and a true pillar of the filmmaking and arts community in Alaska, who has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Kevin has spent his life giving to others, telling stories, building creative spaces, mentoring artists, and showing up for people when it mattered. His work and generosity have left a lasting mark on the filmmaking and arts community, and on everyone lucky enough to know and have worked with him.

This diagnosis came suddenly and has turned life upside down. AML is aggressive, and treatment moves fast, long hospital stays, intensive chemotherapy, and constant uncertainty. Kevin is facing this fight with courage and humility, but no one should have to carry a battle like this alone.

Right now, the focus is survival and healing. The reality, though, is that the financial burden adds an overwhelming weight to an already impossible moment. Medical bills, time away from work, travel, and the everyday costs that don’t stop when life does.
