Help Kevin Batson & family through this medical crisis ❤️

Hello all, my name is Robin. I am writing to you about my very best friends, Marrissia and Kevin Batson. As I'm sure most of you have read, Kevin was admitted to the hospital a week ago. The doctors and nurses have been working hard to not only find out what exactly is wrong with Kevin but to also help alleviate the tremendous pain he is in. Tests have been run, medications administered, scans done, and still no clue what's going on.
From Kevin's wife, Marrissia, "Today is day 8 since he has been admitted. Still no answers. He’s now had 2 CT scans, 2 different kinds of X-rays, an endoscopy & colonoscopy. Now they are wanting to schedule him for another more concentrated CT scan of his small intestine. He’s still on two different pain meds every three and four hours. He is on two antibiotics that are given through the IV drip and one of the nurses told me that one of the antibiotics that he is on he will be on for 14 days! He is also on his 11th IV placement. They no longer believe this is food poisoning but can’t tell us what is happening! After 8 days he may actually get to have some real food today. Not that he will eat much of it but a little bit is better than just liquids. He’s still going to be here for several more days! I just wish someone could tell us what exactly is wrong! This is crazy."
This is the third time in the last year and a half he has been hospitalized. He had gotten into a wreck and had a pulmonary embolism and a DVT result from that, which they are still paying medical bills from too. Throughout all of this, his wife, his rock, has been navigating through the days as best she can. For those that may not know, Kevin and Marrissia own a family appliance servicing business and have a set of twins, Gabriella and Gavin. Marrissia has been working as needed, while also traveling to the hospital to be with Kevin (and to consult with his doctors) plus still see to the kids when they are not with family. Kevin has now been out of work for a week, missing valuable income, and does not know when working may be possible again. The medical bills from this stay alone are tremendous, even with health insurance. As we know how quickly these medical bills can add up, I'm asking that you consider donating whatever you can to help with the growing costs of his medical care and lack of income due to all of this. Any amount helps and is appreciated beyond belief. If you are not able to donate then please, please keep Kevin in your thoughts and prayers for a diagnosis and treatment plan that will have him on the road to recovery. Since we are not sure of the total cost of everything, I am setting the goal at a higher amount. Every donation will be going to Kevin. For Marrissia to have peace of mind on that one part of this whole ordeal would be a huge weight lifted. Thank you all and please send positive thoughts, prayers, and love their way. Thank you. ❤️
