Help Kevin and Nui Save Their Beloved Restaurant

Hello & welcome to my plea for assistance.

My name is Kevin and my wife’s name is Nui. We started in the food industry about 11 years ago. My wife and family moved to America from Thailand 16 years ago. We bought a food truck named Nui’s ThaiMachine and operated in Arlington, Virginia until the second month of COVID-19, at which time we had an opportunity to sell the truck, so we did. I was still working for Arlington County, so life was still OK. We looked for a new restaurant for about 2 1/2 years; this was our third restaurant that we looked at. We were and still are very happy with the place. We love it; it’s cool, tastefully decorated & the food is awesome. I think we have a 4.7 rating on Yelp. We had been open about six months, and I took an early retirement from Arlington County because at that time the restaurant was struggling, and if it was going under, it was going to go under with me there. After looking at everything and considering everything, I’ve determined what we don’t have is enough customers! I don’t know what else to do, and I’m running out of time. This week started off Monday bright and early; here comes the ABC liquor commission & revoked my license because I could not renew it due to owing sales tax. That was the last straw. Anyone who wants to verify my story and check that out, it should be easy enough, I suppose. I’ve never done this before, so I don’t know what people do or want to know. We are very close to making it, I still believe! We have the payroll covered, the rent covered, all the food covered each month, all the bills with the exception of the sales tax. That’s where we have been falling short and need help with before it’s too late.
