Help Kevin and Jessica Through This Tough Time

Donation protected
Kevin Miller has been hospitalized due to acute congestive heart failure and is expected to remain hospitalized for two weeks. To assist with the resulting financial challenges, I have created a GoFundMe campaign to help cover necessary expenses, including bills, groceries, and travel to and from the hospital. As Kevin and Jessica are the owners of Zephyr Ride and Shine and both are employed at the Barn at Blueberry Hill. They will experience a minimum three-week period without income. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated, and please keep Kevin, Jessica, and their children in your thoughts and prayers.

Below is the latest update from Jessica!

Update # 2

11-13-25
Dr talked to us a couple of hours ago to address Kevins irregular heart rhythm, he’s looking at having an ablation sometime next week because his top chambers are beating 250-300 times a minute in a-flutter. With an already weak heart, it needs to be fixed instead of the cardioversion (shock).

Update on Kevin Miller 11/13/25:
His heart rate was up yesterday and most of the night. At bedtime they gave him an iv medicine to help reduce his heart rate and fix his rhythm which is an a-flutter which is almost a-fib. They had him prepped early this morning to possibly do a shocking to get his heart back in the right rhythm but they changed their minds. They want to get more fluid off before doing that. If it doesn't resolve itself over the weekend, then they will look at Monday on the shocking. Seeing if medicines will help fix it.

Update on Kevin 11/6
A cardiologist from the "heart & vascular clinic" came in and talked to Kevin about his treatment a few hours ago. He is looking at being here a good 2 weeks. They need to slowly get the fluid off so it doesn't hurt his liver or kidneys, which are both strained.

Update 11-5-25
Hey everyone! I just wanted to give an update on Kevin. He was having symptoms and then they all added up to come to Forsyth Hospital yesterday. He is back in active acute congestive heart failure with lots of extra fluid and swelling and cough from some fluid in the bottom of his lungs. They are giving him meds to get fluid off as well as looking into kidney issues which doesn’t help with swelling and water retention. They told us today that he’s looking at staying a minimum of 5 more days, TBD. So please say a prayer that he has a speedy recovery and they are able to help with his heart function as his ejection fraction is 15-20%. He is really tired and getting weak from all the test, blood draws and just his heart being on overload.

Update 11-7-25

Thank you for sharing and keep praying !

They moved Kevin to cardiac icu last night to monitor him better.

Update 11-8-25

They said since he did well last night, he could be moved out of cardiac ICU. They are going to put him back on the 6th floor, he should move today.

Update 11/9/25

From Jessica

They moved him back to the 6th floor, general cardiac yesterday afternoon. They said he was a “boring” icu patient which is great news. His job is to rest and get fluid off. He doesn’t talk much to visitors or even get on his phone just because his body is worn out but slowly he will gain strength once they get the fluid off. So far he’s gotten about 50lbs off, hoping to double that or close to it.

I cannot thank all of our friends, family, friends of friends, just everyone for their thoughts and prayers and the monetary donations we have gotten. It will help tremendously! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts & may God bless each and every one of you!!! ❤️
