This man, Kevin is the porter at an antique Market that I have been selling at for 12 years. I consider him a friend. He has been on the edge of poverty for as long as I've known him but has lived in this house for at least 10 years. Even during the last year-and-a-half, throughout the pandemic he did not miss a month's rent . He does not have a lease and has no recourse. He was told he has until the 15th to get out . They didn't even give him 2 weeks after living there for 10 years and caring for the property . I stopped by to drop off a large crate for and despite the location of the home he has kept it impeccable. I have known him for at least 12 years and know he is a kind wonderful person.

His landlord or should I say, slumlord just told him he needs to be out by this coming week. The property was sold and will be bulldozed !

He called me and his only concern are his Two Kitties who are 4 years old and as you can see, very well cared for and chunky monkeys. They are spayed and neutered.

He is devastated and going to be homeless but his only concern is his cats . I have reached out to a few people and I'm trying to find a permanent housing situation for him , likely in a senior situation but as we know, these things take time and it's a bureaucracy. We need to keep him and his pets housed somehow. His goal is to save up money in next 3 months and I would like to contribute in a big way.
