My name is Kevin, and I am asking for help for Bel and me as we try to get through an incredibly painful time for our family. In less than four weeks, we have lost three beloved family members: my brother on July 31 to suicide in Kawaihae, Bel’s father on August 10 after numerous health issues including pneumonia in Tarlac, and Bel’s mother on August 17 to cancer in Los Angeles. We are heartbroken and doing our best to support one another while also helping make arrangements to honor each of them. With so much loss happening so close together, the emotional and financial weight has been overwhelming.

We are reaching out because we are short on funds due to the numerous health services related bills, and we need help covering the many expenses connected to these three services. Donations will help with funeral and service costs, travel, medical expenses, food, housing, and other related needs as we try to be present for our family and lay our loved ones to rest with care and dignity. Any extra funds will be donated in their honor to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the American Cancer Society (ACS), and Coalition of Services of the Elderly, Inc. (COSE).
