Kevin’s Journey To Morehouse : A Dream In The Making

Greetings,

My name is Kevin and I am thrilled to share that I have been accepted into the prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta GA to pursue a degree in Computer Science! I recently graduated class of 2024 from Boston Arts Academy receiving my High School Diploma with Community Service Honors having dedicated 317 hours to serving my community. BAA was instrumental in regard to me pursuing my passion for music and building my stage presence and confidence. This foundation has allowed me to reach my full potential of singing/performing in front of a large audience! **

Aside from the wonderful opportunities BAA has provided me, I now find myself extremely stressed by the anxiety of potentially having my dream of attending Morehouse College ripped away from me! As I come from a single-parent household, my mother has been my unwavering support, doing everything she can to help me succeed, despite our financial hardships. Unfortunately, I could not qualify for any private loans nor did I receive any of the many scholarships for minorities that I applied for, due to scarceness.

The clock is quickly ticking for me to pay my $50,000 tuition fee balance, which makes this fundraising effort even more crucial. The $50K will not only cover my tuition for the year, it will also allow me to join the renowned Morehouse Glee Club.

The mission of Morehouse College is to develop men with disciplined minds who will lead lives of leadership and service by emphasizing the intellectual and character development of its students. Your contributions will truly make a profound difference in my life and help me fulfill my future dreams!
