"Hi, I’m Erin West , and I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother, Kessler. On April 8th 2026, our lives changed when Kessler was rushed to the ER with severe abdominal pain. We soon learned he had a perforation in his colon—a life-threatening condition that sent him straight into emergency surgery.

He almost didn't make it. The doctors told us the infection had begun to leak into his system, putting him at risk of septic shock. Thankfully, the surgeons were able to repair the hole or place a temporary colostomy bag. While we are incredibly grateful he is still with us, the road ahead is long and challenging.

Kessler is now facing weeks of recovery, unable to work, medical bills, or future reversal surgery. This situation isn’t just medical; it’s a financial crisis for him.
