Kesher Hebrew School is now entering our 7th year of inspiring Jewish children and keeping them connected (Kesher means connected in Hebrew) with their Jewish heritage in Los Angeles. Our students come from local public schools or are homeschooled. Many would like to attend a Jewish day school but cannot because of the high tuition costs of Jewish day schools in Los Angeles. We offer them a fun and engaging afternoon Hebrew school hosted on the modern campus of Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy. Over the years we have served hundreds of local children and the best part is that we have helped over 30 Jewish children enroll in local Jewish schools after getting a taste of Jewish education! The tuition we charge is lower than other Hebrew schools to try and keep our program affordable to all children, however, we have families approach us that cannot afford tuition and we do not turn down any child for lack of funds. This year we are opening up special mini-courses for Jewish homeschool families after listening to feedback from our student body. We need your support to help us fund our annual budget, provide scholarships for those who can't pay, pay our teachers and staff. We set the initial goal at our annual budget, however, should we exceed it we can expand our activities and classes to reach even more kids! Please donate generously, your donation will enable a precious Jewish child's eyes to be opened to the beauty of his/her heritage and ensure a Jewish future!
Sincerely,
Rabbi Avrohom Wagshul
