Help Kerry and Stetson recover from this accident
For any of you that know Kerry, she is the type to drop anything to help her friends in need. She is certainly not the type to ask for help but right now- We know she truly needs it
On Saturday, March 6th, Stetson was in a bull riding accident. He was wearing his safety gear- vest and helmet, but unfortunately the bull stepped on the side of his chest resulting in some serious injuries. He suffered from a collapsed lung, 4 broken ribs, a dislocated clavical- which was resting on one of his major veins that supplied blood to his brain and heart. He has undergone surgery, however he has a long road of recovery ahead of him.
Kerry has been by his side since the moment she heard of the accident. She rushed to Del Norte where the accident occurred and the two of them were flown to Colorado Springs where they have been for almost a week. Kerry is able to be with him during the day, but unfortunately cannot stay at the hospital due to COVID restrictions. They are hoping to be home soon but after surgery- his lung re-collapsed and he developed a fever so they aren’t sure when he will be released yet.
That being said, medical, lodging, and daily expenses have really been piling up. This is a large financial burden to Kerry as she is unable to work while she cares for him. When Stetson is finally released, he will be unable to lift or use his arms for up to 6 months. He can use his right hand a very small amount. He will also require regular trips back to Colorado Springs for therapy and check ups. That is going to be very costly overtime. We are not sure what insurance is going to help with if anything at all.
If you can donate anything- even a small amount, I know Kerry and Stetson would truly appreciate it.
