My name is Kerry Patterson, and I am reaching out for help as I work to rebuild my life and return to the nursing profession that has always been my passion. Seven years ago, after enduring the loss of several loved ones and struggling with alcohol abuse, I made the difficult decision to release my nursing license. Since then, I have worked consistently, but the journey has been challenging. After my partner of nine years broke up with me, I faced multiple moves, lost deposits, and mounting expenses in Bend, Oregon. On top of that, a mystery illness sent me to the ER several times, leaving me with medical debt I am still trying to pay off.

Despite these hardships, I have completed all the coursework required to reapply for my nursing license. However, I am unable to afford the fees for relicensing, background checks, and fingerprinting. Getting my license back is my top priority—it will mean higher pay, better insurance, and the chance to finally achieve a stable living situation. The funds raised will also help me pay down medical debt and repay those who have supported me during my toughest times.
