Our friend Kerry is currently facing a serious and unexpected medical crisis involving a severe eye infection caused by a rare fungus called fusarium. What started as multiple hospital visits quickly escalated into ongoing specialist care, countless medications, and intensive treatment. Despite being prescribed several different eye drops and making frequent trips to Philadelphia for care, his condition continued to worsen. He has now been admitted for close monitoring and has already undergone a procedure to try to remove the infection. Unfortunately, not all of the fungus could be cleared, and he is now facing cornea replacement surgery and a long road to recovery.

To make matters even more difficult, Kerry does not currently have health insurance through his new job, and he will likely be out of work for months while he heals. The financial burden of hospital stays, specialist visits, medications, and lost income is overwhelming.
