We are asking for friends, family, and fellow veterans to come together to raise funds for a remarkable family in Kerrville, Texas who have recently endured a heartbreaking disaster. The family consists of a military veteran Gilbert Zamora, a dedicated nurse Chantal Zamora, two sons, and disabled grandparents.
In the early hours of the morning, a devastating flood swept through their home, destroying nearly everything they owned. Due to their location, they were unable to secure flood insurance, making this loss even more overwhelming. The young man at the heart of this family is truly a brother-from-another-mother to my son, making this cause especially close to our hearts and the hearts of all who know them.
This family has always worked hard to support each other and their community. The veteran has served our country, and the nurse has cared for countless patients. Now, they are facing the unimaginable challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch. The funds raised will help them find replace essential belongings, rebuild their home, and provide much-needed support for the disabled grandparents who rely on them. Every contribution will make a real difference in helping them recover and regain stability. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than they need, any extra funds will be donated back to the Kerrville community to help others affected by this disaster.
Any donation, no matter the size, will mean the world to them as they work to restore hope and security. Thank you for considering a gift to help them through this difficult time.
Who I am: I am a family friend who watched Gilbert grow up with my son. 100 percent of the donations will go to them.
