Hi everyone,

My name is Kerri, and it’s with a heavy heart and humble spirit that I’m reaching out for help.

In October 2024, my beautiful mom passed away unexpectedly. Since then, life has thrown more at me than I ever could’ve imagined—heartbreak, legal delays, financial stress, and a home on the line. Despite trying to hold it all together while living with a disability, the challenges have kept coming.

The trust company assigned to execute my mom’s will has failed to act. As a result, unpaid bills have been piling up, including a personal line of credit in my mom’s name that I only recently found out has gone completely unpaid. Now, the banks lawyers are demanding full payment asap or they’ll take the house where I currently live.

To make things worse, the basement flooded recently. While insurance is thankfully covering the damage, I still need to come up with the deductible. And on top of all that, the property taxes and the lease for our small family cottage are both due by the end of June. Essential utilities like the house phone, hydro, and water bills are also overdue.

I’m asking for help to:

• Pay off the line of credit and save my home

• Cover the insurance deductible for flood damage

• Pay the upcoming property taxes and cottage lease

• Catch up on utility bills

• And if anything is left, put it toward fixing my car so I can regain some independence

I’ve always tried to be strong and handle things on my own, but this time, I can’t do it without a little support. Every donation—no matter how small—brings me closer to stability and peace of mind.
