Help Kerri fight her 3rd battle with Cancer

First let me tell you a little bit about the most incredible person I know, Kerri Marty. Kerri is a mother of 4 wonderful children who she goes above and beyond for, always making sure that they are okay. She is the person that if anyone is having a hardship of any kind she will go out of her way to help, but doesn't want or need any thank you's. From the first time I met Kerri her presence gave me a sense of ease, a calming motherly figure who I knew would have my back no matter what is happening. With that being said, she also is not the person to ever ask for help, so here I am asking for her.

Kerri is currently fighting cancer for the THIRD time! With no previous history of cancer in her family, at 42 she was diagnosed with breast cancer after her first mammogram. The treatment included a lumpectomy, 8 weeks of radiation and 5 years of tamoxifen. At 47, a month before she was going to "graduate" from tamoxifen she went to a gynecologist experiencing painful cramping, a very experienced ultrasound tech found she had lesions on her liver and that was the cause of the cramping. That month she had an ablation, a liver biopsy, MRI, PET scan and barrage of tests. A few weeks later she was diagnosed with B cell lymphoma. The treatment time was 7 cycles of chemotherapy and SHE WAS IN THE CLEAR! Although, her oncologist warned her there was an 86% chance it would return. Fast forward to 4 months ago she was told her cancer had come back. But this time she is not healthy enough to begin any treatment.

While she is exhausting all options, treatments, treatment centers and is even on the liver transplant list... Right now the next treatment will be Car-T therapy. Unfortunately it is one of the most expensive medical treatments, upwards of $1 MIlLLION out of pocket! While her job has been amazing with accommodations for work and insurance, this also makes her ineligible for assistance for medical bills. But even with some of the best insurance she maxed out coverage last year and still owes just under $45k. In Kerri's words "On a single income I’m overwhelmed with the thought of having to choose between health care and basic living needs."

As we all know Cancer is unfair. But for Kerri, someone who is not only an amazing person, has been there for others all her life; for her to not only get this once... but now for a THIRD time and is untreatable at this point is not only unfair but it is inconceivable.

I am looking to help Kerri with her current medical bills ($45k) to help ease the stress on her body, so she can focus on her next treatment plan and not have the additional monetary pressure as we try and find a more reasonable resolution than the $1 MILLION option she is being presented with now.
