Kerri Bratcher unexpectedly lost her husband, Glenn, 10 years ago, leaving her a widowed single mother with two young boys. Kerri has spent the past decade rebuilding her life and building her career as a single mother. Among her the many jobs, Kerri created her business, Kerri‘s Kardinals, dedicated to providing financial assistance to widows and their families after the tragic loss of their spouse. She hosts Christmas toy drives, Back-to-School fundraisers and other events to help widows. through her small business, she hosts vendor events, and donates portions of her proceeds to widow families.

As a small business owner and independent contractor, Kerri’s sole source of income to provide for her family is money she makes each job or event she does. She does not have the blessing of TDI or unemployment compensation to fall back on.

No work=no income

Kerri has been in and out of the hospital in recent months battling an infection. On November 28, the day after Thanksgiving, Kerri was admitted again and major surgery was unavoidable this time. Kerri will be laid up for several weeks with zero income coming in to pay her mortgage, feed her family, or purchase anything for Christmas, never mind all the other bills that come either being a single mother & homeowner.
