Help Kerri and Lily Heal After Tragic Losses

Dearest friends—

As many of you know by now, our friend and lifelong Seattle music community member Kerri Harrop suddenly lost her beloved sister Timmi on February 7th. We are collectively committed to giving Kerri and her niece Lily both the emotional and practical support they need at this time.

Timmi was very moved by a friend’s recent green burial and stated that she would like one too. Kerri has arranged for this, but needs approximately $8000 to cover the associated costs.

Kerri also lost her longtime sweetheart Lewis Jennings less than a month ago and the cruelly compounded nature of her grief means she will need a skilled trauma therapist.

Although she and Lily are on bereavement leave from their jobs, it is unpaid. They need sufficient time off to heal and receive professional treatment without losing the income to cover rent and basic living expenses.

We know how essential it is that Kerri has this support and that her friends and loved ones will want the opportunity to surround her with the same kind of loving comfort she has offered to so many others throughout the years. She and Lily need our help.

Thank you for helping however you can. This community can always accomplish extraordinary things when we pull together for those we love. As Kerri often says, let’s “keep pushing” and stay up for her.
