My sister and I unexpectedly lost our mom, Mary, after a brief but serious illness she had been dealing with that we were not aware she had been dealing with. Her passing has left us heartbroken and in shock, and still trying to process this loss while making sure we can be with her one last time.

Although cremation arrangements have been made, we were faced with an unexpected $1,700 in additional final costs required for us to be present before her cremation. We were not financially prepared for this and are asking for help to make this possible..

We’ve been working directly with the funeral home to try to reduce or adjust the cost, but unfortunately there is no flexibility in this requirement. Right now, we are doing everything we can so we can be there together, say our goodbyes in person, and honor our mom with the love and presence she deserves.

Any amount helps bring us closer to that goal. Even small donations make a real difference and add up faster than what we could manage on our own.
