Help Keri and Gwen Rebuild After a Life-Changing Accident
Donation protected
On Sunday, November 10th, Keri and Gwen were involved in a devastating car accident at the intersection of Stan Schlueter Loop and the Hwy 190 access road. An uninsured driver ran through a red light and collided with a pickup truck, which then struck Keri’s car. The impact was severe—the truck's tailgate went through the windshield and hit Keri in the head. Keri had to be airlifted to the hospital, and Gwen was transported by ambulance to the children’s hospital.
While Keri and Gwen are both recovering, the aftermath of this accident has put a significant strain on their family. Keri is expected to return to work after Thanksgiving, but the financial burden caused by this accident is overwhelming. Although Keri’s insurance covered the total loss of her car, it did not provide coverage for personal injuries caused by an uninsured motorist. As a result, they are facing hospital bills totaling $10,313.16 after insurance.
Keri had to take out a new loan for a down payment on a new car, and her paycheck was docked due to time off from work. Next year, Keri may need plastic surgery for her scar and could face potential issues with reduced movement on the right side of her face.
This accident has also impacted the family’s long-term goal of purchasing their own home. What they had worked so hard for is now in jeopardy due to the financial setbacks caused by this reckless driver.
Any help you can offer to ease the burden of these medical expenses, car-related costs, and other financial needs would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for your support during this incredibly difficult time.
