Help Kenya Get Top Surgery
Hi! My names Kenya and I'm a 21 year old working class, trans masculine man and I need your help to get top surgery.
I'm reaching out again as the first go fund me I did in order to become financially stable was a HUGE success! And I was so humbled and grateful for everyone's incredible generosity.
I've been on testosterone for 3 months and though it's super amazing and alleviating some aspects of dysphoria it's left me with a hyper awareness of the things that it won't change.
This means each day is getting harder and harder with dysphoria in relation to my chest. As a human who has borderline personality disorder I often struggle with mental health and chest dysphoria as of late has been making it 10x worse.
There's so many things I want to live for and in order to do that to I desperately need top surgery. It's all I think about, more so when the pain of my binder has been making my back pain increasingly worse.
The cost breakdown is as follows:
Initial consultation: £150
Surgery fee: 7,000
Aftercare/Prescriptions: £200
Time off art commission work: £200
Food: £100
COVID testing additional cost: £30
I have also taken into account that go fund me takes a percentage of the funds raised.
I have enquired already with Miles Berry and once I get ¼ of the way to my goal I will book my consultation appointment.
I am also trying my hardest to save up and put money towards my goal, however I’ve set it at the maximum amount just in case I don’t manage to meet that goal.
Any extra money will go to my recovery time as I won’t be able to work for 4 weeks.
