My name is Sabrina, and I’m reaching out for support after a devastating flood in Vado, NM turned my life upside down. My 3-year-old daughter, Kenya, and I lost our home, all of our furniture, and my car was declared a total loss. Right now, we’re staying with my sister while I work to rebuild a safe and stable environment for Kenya, who is just about to start pre-K. It’s been especially hard not having our own space, and most of what we managed to save is packed away in boxes and bags.

My main priority is to secure a new apartment for us so Kenya can have a sense of normalcy again. I’m also hoping to help my grandmother replace her furniture, as she’s now living alone after the flood. Finally, I need to find a reliable car so I can get Kenya to school and start putting our lives back together.
