Help Keny Beat Leukemia and Raise Baby Alice
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Keny Pernett. I am a 36-year-old graduate of CSU Stanislaus with a degree in Communications. My lovely wife Amy and I were eagerly anticipating the birth of our daughter Alice when, after a dental appointment, I was given the shocking diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). This rare disease strikes only four out of 100,000 people. Our world went into a tailspin of doctor's appointments, infusions, hospital stays, and more, all while welcoming a new infant to our family. Our dream for Alice was to have her grow and be raised here in the Central Valley, as we have. I am unable to work while fighting for my life.
The initial rounds of chemo were successful in getting me into remission. However, it only lasted four months. My only chance for survival is getting a donor transfusion of stem cell blood.
The survival rate without a stem cell transplant for this disease is less than two years. The research has been done and the best match for the procedure turns out to be my mother who lives out of the country.
I am very invested in doing all I can to beat this cancer and participate in raising my daughter and I need your help. Our Go Fund Me request is to help pay for food, diapers, transportation, and medical bills. Anything and everything is appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
