My name is Megan, and it is with deep regret that I am reaching out for your help towards putting this vibrant young man to rest, and securing financial assistance for his 2-year old son Kavion. Kentrell passed away unexpectedly this week leaving his mother and son in a sudden financial crisis.

Your donations will be used to cover funeral and burial costs approaching $6,000 that the family simply doesn’t have. Kentrell’s mother, a certified nurse assistant with varied and unpredictable work hours, will need to cover childcare costs beyond the typical 9 to 5 daycare hours for Kentrell’s son. What once was tight for two working adults to cover the expenses for a growing child will now be an almost impossible squeeze as Kavion’s grandmother makes her new way as sole provider.

Kentrell will be missed dearly by his family and friends. A good friend of my son’s growing up, the always-smiling Kentrell evolved from the playful silly basketball-loving 14 year old freshman at Memorial High to the caring 23 year old proud father he was today. We called him “Tippy” because of the way he walked on his front tippy-toes - as if to be ready for a hasty launch-to-action should the need arise.

Kentrell worked hard, and was just closing in on a full management position at Taco Bell in Green Bay when this tragedy occurred. In high school, he was one of the few kids that always had a job - Kentrell figured out ways to make things happen for himself. He would have made sure his son had all the best he could give him in life, but now it’s up to his village, and his village’s village if at all possible, to help Kavion. Kentrell will smile when you do.
