Help Kenton get a Van!
Donation protected
My brother Tony Rudolfi has wanted to be a dad for as long as I can remember. He married his high school sweetheart Brook in 2017, and they had their daughter Raelyn in 2020. To continue the dream of having a family, they then had their baby boy on July 7, 2022. Kenton was born without complications in a seemingly uneventful pregnancy. Shortly after taking him home from the hospital, Kenton had his first seizure and was subsequently life flighted to OHSU. After days of being in the NICU, he was diagnosed with epilepsy due to an unknown cause. Kenton suffered from hundreds of seizures in his first year of life and was ultimately diagnosed with a rare type of epilepsy called infantile spasms. He has since been part of the undiagnosed disease network, which is hoping to find a cause for his epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and global development delays.
To give Kenton the best possible chance at progress and development, my family has been tirelessly committed to bringing him to physical, occupational, and speech therapy on a weekly basis. Even with all the unknowns and setbacks, Kenton is now almost three years old and continues to inspire us every day with his determination. He was recently blessed with a new wheelchair, which helps to get him around more easily, but this comes with more challenges. Brook and Tony’s current vehicle is simply not equipped to transport his wheelchair, specialized equipment, and their family. As a result, they are seeking to purchase an ADA accessible van that will allow them to transport him to his therapy sessions, doctor visits, and daily activities that are critical to his well-being.
Accessible vans are very expensive, and I wanted to start this GoFundMe to try alleviating some of the financial burden for Kenton’s family. If you know Brook, Tony, and their children, you know that they are the sweetest little family, that would never ask for assistance, but they are truly the most deserving. Thank you for your generosity in helping my sweet nephew Kenton and our family navigate this life-long challenging journey.
