Help Kent provide Cancer Treatment for Joy

Our dear friend Kent was dealt a difficult blow this week: his beloved Australian Shepherd Joy was diagnosed with lymphoma. He is devastated by the news and we are writing to ask for your help. Joy is only 5 years old and since she is young and healthy, and Kent caught this early, there is every reason to believe that she will respond well to treatment, but she needs to start NOW. Without treatment, the oncologist shared Joy would not likely live longer than a month. With treatment, dogs can live a year or longer.

Kent has played an integral part in all our lives - loving our dogs as if they were his own, sending us photos of them happily at play, or posing on the bench when they were at “Camp Kent.” We have all felt the security of knowing our dogs are with Kent when work or travel takes us away from them.

Next week Joy will begin her first round of chemotherapy. The sessions are once a week for six weeks with the goal to have Joy go into remission and more importantly gain more time with Kent!

Kent does not have pet insurance and the cost is staggering. Our goal is to raise enough money to help Kent with her treatment as well as ensure he is not stressed while missing work caring for her.

Whatever you can contribute - no matter how small - will make a difference. Kent has been enormously kind to all of us and our dogs LOVE him.

Joy is his family and this news has hit Kent very hard. Let’s all come together to show him our ♥️ and support
