Right before Halloween, our sweet Kensi was riding her scooter back home. We are unsure what exactly contributed to the accident, but an incident occurred that caused severe brain injury, and now we are on the road to recovery! Thankfully, her progress continues, and she has continued to make more and more strides in the healing direction. We are so blessed to still have her here with us and so incredibly grateful to God that the incident did not take her life. Primary Children's Hospital has been incredible in her plan of care and so attentive to her needs and injuries. We can't say enough good things about how amazing they have been at bringing her back to being awake, talking, and returning to hopefully a somewhat normal life. We still have a journey ahead and lots of appointments to continue to help her recuperate. Now we continue the journey with evaluations and plans being formed to assist in her mobility, memory, learning, and hearing. We are finding as we move through day by day, little things may manifest due to the brain injury and skull fracture.

We are fundraising to support Kensi's ongoing medical care and recovery for specialists for hearing and mobility as well as homeschooling and large medical bills.
