Help Kenny Smith Jr's Family Lost House in fire

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Lisa Hulbert.  On January 5th, my Brother Kenny and his family lost their house in Conifer to a Chimney Fire.  Thank God this happened during the day.  My Sister-in-law Debbie and my niece Ashley were home at the time.  They smelled smoke went out of the house, called 911 and the house exploded into flames and blew out all the windows.   Had this have happened in the middle of the night, they all would have likely  died in the fire.  Their Guardian Angels were looking out for them.   The house was burnt to the ground and they have lost everything.  All their memories up in flames.  They do have excellent insurance and they have been put up in a hotel and the insurance is working on alternate living arrangements until their house can be rebuilt.  But unfortunately they were left with the clothes on their backs.  Kenny has been battling Stage 3 Colon Cancer for 2 years and is struggling with side effects from the surgery and is not well.  Because of this he hasn't been able to work.    Ashley my niece starts back to School at Western State in 5 days and has to replace everything to start back to school.   Our Nephew Chris is a forest fighter and helped battled the Cameron Peak Fire this summer.  All the first responders to their home either worked with or knew Christopher.  My family is feeling pretty helpless right now so we thought we would rally our friends and extended family to raise some money so they can get the necessities they need for right now and put away some money for future needs as they come up.  As you can imagine they are pretty shocked and overwhelmed and just don't know what they need at this point.  Kenny could hardly talk on the phone.   I think first and foremost LOTS OF PRAYERS for their family would be greatly appreciated .   They have been through a lot of challenges in their lives and always manage to get through each challenge as a family.  Thank you in advance for your generosity as we work through helping them rebuild their lives and their home.
