On Sunday, December 21st, our family Christmas gathering took a sad turn. The adults were in the yard watching the children play with their toys when one of the nephews noticed that my brother's trailer was on fire. 911 was called, and we rushed to his house. The Evans County Fire and Rescue Team was there within minutes. These gentlemen did all that they could, but it was a total loss.
Not only did Kenny Threatt lose his home and all contents, he also lost his best friend/Irish Setter named Peaches and her five puppies in the fire.
The Evans County Fire and Rescue Team went above and beyond on this call. They retrieved the bodies of the dogs and buried them for him so he would not have to see them.
Please keep him in your prayers as he tries to rebuild his life and overcome this loss.
