Hi everyone — I never imagined creating a GoFundMe, but the situation has become dire enough that this is a hopeful last effort to get Kenny back on stable ground.

For those who know, you’re aware that this past year has been incredibly difficult for my son. For those of you who do not, his marriage ended after years of infidelity, his ex became pregnant with someone else’s children while they were still married. In the emotional aftermath, he ended up reconnecting with someone who became severely physically abusive and manipulative. During that time, his personal belongings were destroyed or stolen, food was thrown out while he was at work, and he was regularly subjected to extreme violence. Police were not helpful until the injuries he suffered were severe enough that no story she could tell would keep her out of jail, at which point she fled the city. Months of physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse that would turn your stomach if you knew every detail, left him damaged and hopeless.

Once she was gone and he started trying to rebuild, the company he was working for shut down, leaving him unemployed. He quickly found work with Amazon, but was laid off from that position as well in the middle of last week. The timing has been incredibly difficult, and with his lease ending soon, his vehicle in need of maintenance he can’t afford, his taxes behind, and barely being able to afford groceries while he interviews for new jobs, we’re now struggling just to come up with the funds for a new deposit so he can move forward and continue rebuilding his life.

I want to be clear — I’m not sharing any of this to seek pity, only to explain why we’ve reached this point of asking for help. He is trying, we are trying, but none of us can do it on our own. I know times are hard for a lot of people. Any support, even sharing this, means more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I wish you all well.
