Help Kenny & Jacob replace stolen work supplies
Donation protected
On Monday, May 16, 2022, our Prius was stolen from our carport parking spot outside our apartment in Phoenix, AZ. Jacob came home from work after dark Sunday night, and our security camera captured him returning to the porch to lock the car. When I went out the next morning, it was gone.
It turns out there is a device that extends the range of your key fob and allows a thief to unlock your vehicle even if the key fob is safely inside your home, which is likely what happened. We filled out a police report and were told they would let us know if they found anything.
A week later, on May 23, the police called us at dinner and told us they found the car parked on a residential street not far from us, so we went to check it out.
We had the car towed and examined. They stole the catalytic converters, the battery and connecting cables, and the front passenger axle shaft. The vehicle also needs body work; thankfully, after our deductible, our insurance will cover the rest of the cost to repair.
Unfortunately, all our cleaning supplies, except a few liquid cleaners we buy by the gallon and keep at home, were stolen. Follow the link to view a lengthy but not likely complete list of what we lost:
Jacob and I are grateful for any assistance you can provide in this difficult time. Donations we receive will be used to replace the stolen items, help pay our deductible, and make up for lost income.
