Kennny Germann is going through a difficult year – he needs our help. Life changed abruptly for Kenny when he was diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal cancer on April 25, 2025. A date he will never forget.

Hi, I'm Laura Dominguez Griffin and I am running this Go Fund Me for my friend Kenny Germann. The goal is to assist Kenny with the medical expenses and some of the living expenses related to his cancer treatment. The closest treatment center and surgical center is in San Antonio; two and a half hours away. This support would allow Kenny to focus on fighting the cancer, getting his strength back after the chemo treatments, recovering from an extensive surgery, and keeping up his positive attitude without worrying about the roof over his head.

So far Kenny has had 6 FLOT chemo therapy treatments in a row. The tumor has shrunk; which is wonderful news! Next up is the esophagectomy surgery. An intense surgery with an approximately two week hospital stay for basic recovery. Then comes the lengthy recovery of adapting to a newly shaped digestive system. Conveniently, Kenny is a resilient, stubborn sort of person with a positive outlook. In fact, Kenny always quotes his favorite motto to me "smile in the face of adversity." Maybe you've heard it from him too?
