Help Kenny Defeat Cancer

Hello everyone!

On May 11th, 2022 our world turned upside down when Felisha and I received the news that no parent wants to hear, our 10-year-old baby boy has Burkitts Leukemia.  This is a rare form of blood cancer and is also an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  In the last couple of years, there have been approximately three other children in Central Valley with this diagnosis.

Our sweet boy has a long strenuous journey ahead of him. His treatment involves chemotherapy 3x’s a week, blood and platelets transfusions, lumbar punctures, and more. As of now, he is admitted at Valley Childrens Hospital in Madera. Once he is stable to come home, we are looking at several trips back and forth to Valley Childrens for clinical appointments and numerous weekly inpatient/hospital stays. He is expected to be in treatment for a year, however, it will take longer to return to “normal” life.

We are in for a long journey…physically, emotionally, and financially. So, we are asking for all the help we can get. If you can donate to the GoFundMe, thank you. Kenneth is known for his outgoing personality and was born with a kind heart. He is very loving, caring, and he worries so much about others.  He is very wise for his age.  He is also very involved in the community.  He participates in the Boys and Girls Club, Porterville Little League, Jr Giants, Porterville Cougars Football, Elite MMA sports, and has also volunteered to work the snack bar at the Burton Ballfields during game time.  

He loves Star Wars, the Raiders, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Lakers.  He has a little sister, Gianna, that he absolutely adores. He loves school and already misses his teachers and friends.  When he grows up, he wants to be a fighter pilot for the U.S. Navy.   He has been a very active, healthy child, which is why his diagnosis is so shocking to us.
