Kenny is a fun, loving, energetic 8 year boy who enjoys Roblox and Minecraft with his two older brothers. Kenny is only one of three boys in the single-parent household and his Super-hero is his mother, Ramona. On May 14, 2020, Kenny was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma and had an enlarged spleen. Since that day, life has not been the same for the family. Currently, Kenny is getting treatment at the OSF Children’s Hospital in Peoria, IL. This is a rare form of cancer and life expectancy is undetermined. On May 18, 2020, Kenny started chemotherapy and has been on and off since then. He went into remission in 2021, then a year later in 2022 tumors were discovered on his brain and he started the process all over again. Truthfully, the future is unknown for this wonderful young boy. Prayers are needed. The family and friends have faith that God will prevail. This has been an extremely difficult time for Ramona, who has worked at a local diner in Champaign, IL for 24 years. She has had to keep strong faith and hold it together for her boys, but she is struggling. Financially, she has to travel for frequent appointments, etc and frankly, her car isn’t the most dependable. She is only able to work two days a week in order to take Kenny to Peoria for treatment. The family and friends are asking for any amount of generosity within your heart and know that the funds will only be used to provide necessities for the family.
