Hurricane Helene Help Kennique and Her Coworkers Rebuild

On September 27, Hurricane Helene tore through Western Carolina, coastal Florida, and Eastern Tennessee, leaving devastation in its path. Among those whose lives were turned upside down were members of our Asheville team at Primo Partners, including Kennique, a brave and beloved colleague who has allowed us to share her story.

In her words:

“It was the most terrifying and heartbreaking experience of my life. By the time we woke up, it was too late to evacuate. We watched the water rise, prayed, and waited for help. Cars were being washed away, the building shook, and trees were being swallowed whole. Despite losing everything, I’m forever grateful to God for rescuing me and my siblings. We still have our lives, and for that, I am thankful.”

For Kennique, the storm took everything—her home, her car, and the safety she worked hard to create for her younger siblings. Though they made it out safely, they now have nothing to return to. Her coworkers have suffered similar losses and are all working to rebuild from nothing. Your donations will be shared among affected staff members to help them regain stability and move forward in the wake of this disaster. 100% of funds will go to impacted staff members. Some staff have chosen to remain anonymous and we thank Kennique for sharing her story.

Kennique and her coworkers now face the immense challenge of keeping their families safe and secure as the cold winter months approach. As weeks turn into months since the storm passed, their lives remain far from being back to normal. With the cold setting in, their need for safe shelter, warm clothing, and reliable transportation is more urgent than ever. Every dollar we raise will go directly to helping Kennique and her colleagues secure safe housing, warm clothing, food, and transportation. We’re also setting up an emergency relief fund to cover any immediate, unforeseen expenses they may face.
