NOTE: Please see UPDATES below on Kenneth's progress upon his release.

Hi, my name is Tahia Hogan, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support on behalf of my husband, Kenneth Hogan. Kenneth has spent 24 1/2 years incarcerated and is set to be released in March 2025. As he prepares to re-enter society, we are seeking your help to cover his initial expenses and assist him in building a future that reflects his passion, dedication, and talent.

During his time in prison, Kenneth has earned an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies from Bard College, and he is currently enrolled in their Master’s degree program in Public Humanities.

Kenneth has committed himself to his true passion—acting, writing, and directing. With over a decade of experience in theater, Kenneth has honed his craft by performing with the Rehabilitation Through the Arts theater group and Bard College's acting ensemble. He’s an actor, playwright, and theater director with a clear goal of telling meaningful stories through artistic expression.

One of Kenneth’s proudest accomplishments is the creation of his original play, Broke City, a work that reflects his unique creative vision and ambition. This project has the potential to make a significant impact in the theater world, and he’s determined to see it brought to life.

Kenneth’s dedication to his craft and education has been unwavering, and he is now focused on taking his skills into the theater and film industries. He is ready to contribute to the world by telling compelling, thought-provoking stories.

How You Can Help
As Kenneth transitions back into society, he needs your support to ensure a successful reentry into the professional world.

The funds raised here will help with the initial expenses he will face—things like housing, transportation, professional attire, and equipment for his artistic endeavors. Your contributions will help Kenneth make a smooth transition, giving him the opportunity to focus on his work and his future.

Kenneth has the talent and drive to succeed on a major scale, and with your support, he will be able to launch his career as an actor, playwright, and theater director. This is a chance for him to not only build a better life but to also contribute to society in a meaningful way.

Thank you for considering a donation to help Kenneth fulfill his dreams and reintegrate into society as a productive and positive force.

With gratitude,
Tahia Hogan

UPDATE Week 1: I am thrilled to share that Kenneth Hogan has been released and is doing well! In his first week at home, he used the funds from this GoFundMe campaign to have a professional headshot photoshoot and purchase equipment for a theater production. Additionally, he enrolled in an audio technology program that specializes in audio engineering, music production, and film/post-production studies.

I kindly ask for your continued support so that Kenneth can keep building on his journey to becoming a productive member of society. I am deeply grateful to GoFundMe and everyone who has contributed to making Kenneth's positive transition possible. Your generosity is truly helping him thrive.

UPDATE Week 2: I'm proud to share that in Kenneth's second week home, he successfully enrolled in a talent agency and had his first session. This agency, which has been around for over 40 years, is dedicated to developing talent and teaching industry skills that will help make Kenneth more employable in the future. Thank you all so much for your continued support of Kenneth in this exciting journey!
